I probably made this challenge WAY harder than it needed to be - mostly because I am too critical of my own work. On the right is a few of the 15 pieces I painted this morning. I struggled to make my globs into circles quite often forgetting the "vertical stance" the brush should take - hence a lot of ovals and misshapen circles. I finally settled on one to make into card - It had more "close to circle shapes" and stayed on axis the best.
I will send this to my 15 yr old granddaughter as I think teens often need encouragement and affirmation.

Practicing is what this challenge encourages. I do love your card and the sentiment. Your practice helped you make some very nice circles.

Sometimes are watercolor challenges can be difficult to turn into a card. This is one of them. As Brenda mentioned it encourages practice so your hand and mind work together effortlessly when painting a circle. Keeping the brush vertical to the paper is the secret to this painting stroke. The more we do it the easier it gets. Your practice sheet shows some fantastic circles. Glad you pictured them and shared. You really made one attractive card with the vibrant purple and magenta color. Thanks for playing this week and adding this to the gallery.
From the look of your samples, you have lots of backgrounds to use in the future! I love what you did with your card. I am playing around with an idea to cut one of my extra practices up too when time permits! Your card is stunning! I love the movement of the paint in the wet-on-wet invasions. Haha, "invasions" is my new word for paint flow of wet on wet. Haha!

I love to see all the different colors you used and I'm excited for you that you will have so many cool backgrounds to grab for later projects as these circles grow on you. This card for your granddaughter is perfect!

I'm sure you can use all the others too for another project Linda, they look great!! The one you've chosen to make into a card is perfect for a teen, it has something also with mystery, maybe even space and planets, I'm sure your granddaughter will love this!!

I think that you have a fun little pile that maybe they will turn into something some day and maybe not, but they colors are so cheerful I bet you just may find yourself using them down the road on something else. I think that everyone needs those cards and your grands are lucky to get them from you
